These pieces were conceived long before they took form. They existed even before I could articulate my visions, even before the first line in the sketchbook. And once I started designing, my hands simply interpreted memories.

I spent time in Barcelona when I was in my twenties and the city possessed me. Barcelona is a youthful, passionate and historic city where Gaudi reigns supreme. His whimsical and unique designs create a beautiful city where people are surrounded by color and sensual, surreal design. The city was washed in gold, green, orange, silver, champagne, and ruby red colors. These hues, coupled with ornamental filigree metal work set my heart ablaze.

The 2006 summer collection of alma flores is dedicated to the city of Barcelona. It is an interpretation of the kaleidoscope of colors and distinctive style that defines the city.
